NBU7.0 on HP-UX and OST Support.......Please help
All,
I am working on OST plugin development for HP-UX + NBU7.0.
I have just installed NBU7.0 on hp ux v11.3 machine ( It is IA-64 based ).
I looked contents of directory /usr/openv/lib/ost-plugins , but i found no file there.
To contrary to this fact, When i looked at installation of NBU7.0 on Solaris SPARC, i found following files under same path ( i.e. /usr/openv/lib/ost-plugins ),
------------------------------------------------------------------
-bash-3.00# ls
libstspipd.so libstspipdMT.so pd.conf
-bash-3.00#
------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, I am wondering that the above shared object files are required by any OST plugin or they are not necessary ?
If they are absolutely required then what should i do now as these files are not there after fresh installation ?
Note : I found this issue only with HP-UX.

Hi,
Those are teh puredisk plugin and associated files. They are NOT required for operation of NetBackup unless you are using one of our PureDisk products. I am unsure of why they are not included in HP-UX, I have not worked on HP-UX very often.
These files are not required and should not effect development or operation of the server.
Thanks,
Murray Butler
