NDMP Restore Fails

Created: 06 Dec 2013 | 1 comment

This problem just cropped up. I haven't seen it before. I have been able to routinely do restores to my Netapp 2020 for years. However, this particular restore has failed a dozen times with basically the same error in Job History: e000130a - The NDMP server returned a restore error. When I check the Job Log>>>Job Operation - Restore>>>Server>>>Set Information>>Restore Set Detail Information>>>NDMP log, I get the following:

NDMP Log Message: RESTORE: /vol/CIFS/CAD/0141.0014.00/Restored Files/CAD/0141.0014.00/0141.0014 - Connector East - Struct ON - 2013.rvt/: Path could not be created.
NDMP Log Message: RESTORE: No files were created.
NDMP Log Message: RESTORE: RESTORE IS ABORTED
NDMP Data Halted: Internal Error
NDMP Log Message: Dump aborted.
NDMP Log Message: Mover: Closing data connection.
NDMP Mover Halted: Connect Closed

I tried just overwriting the original files, thinking it was the redirect, but same error. Any ideas how I can figure out what's going on?

Thanks!

running SGmon while doing the restore may give more details, but it is probably pretty cryptic.

maybe restart the NetApp?
