  • 1.  Need to change domain name on SEPM and Database server

    Posted Nov 07, 2012 08:30 PM

    Hi

We have 2 SEPM server and 1 SQL server in our SEP environment. (11.x).

1 of the SEPM server is in domain A. The other SEPM server is in domain B. The firewalls are opened, so the communication is ok between the servers and clients. The SQL server is also in domain B.

The SEP clients are mostly in domain A, and some in domain B. All clients can communicate with both servers.

We now have to move the 2 servers in domain B to a new domain C. The hostnames and IP addresses are unchanged.

Would doing this cause any communication issues with the existing clients trying to connect back to the SEPM servers?

    Thanks!

Assuming nothing changes, this shouldn't be a problem and you shouldn't need to do anything. IP/hostname are staying the same, correct?

Thanks Brian81. Nothing else is changing.. just the domain name.
