  • 1.  Need CleanWipe Tool to Remove Symantec Endpoint Protection

    I have tried opening a Tech Support Case, but the request form is not recognizing my product version as valid. The version I have installed is Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0.5002.333. It is installed on my personal computer. I have gotten the attached blue screen and have been advised to uninstall SEP. So far I have been unable to uninstall using Windows Installer in Safe Mode. Please help me find where I can get CleanWipe.

    Just put in a version of 11.x that shows up. The latest version of Cleanwipe will remove both 11.x and 12.1 versions.

    Cleanwipe is only available via Symantec support

    Hi,

    I would suggest to use the latest SEP version.

    There was a fix in RU6 version with reference to the attached BSOD error.

    SRTSPL64.SYS crashes on Windows 2008 Server
    Fix ID: 1949035
    Symptom: BugCheck 50, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, in SRTSPL64.SYS
    Solution: Fixed resource cleanup issues

    Contact support with the provided contact number and request them to send you cleanwipe credentials.

    First level support should send you required credentials to download cleanwipe utility.

    You are running an older version of SEP 11.0.5002 which was released in September 2009.

    It is requested to Migrate to the Latest version of SEP 11.0.7300 OR SEP 12.1 RU2, Check this Article:

    Please note that Symantec only recommends using the CleanWipe tool as the final solution for removal of our product, the proper uninstallation steps should always be tried first.
