Endpoint Protection

Trying to consolidate some asset lists, and the inability to get the client serial number as output in a SEPM report has become a big stumbling block.

Very much need a report that shows PCname, Last logged on user, client serial number, and Last time status changed.

Three of these are relatively easy, but I can find no place to get the serial number in a report.

The Client Inventory Details report would work, IF it could be made to include the client serial number.

Any ideas?

Not possible. It doesn't show in the Computer Status log.

You would likely need to do a SQL query against the DB.

It's not possible to export Computer Serial Number information from SEPM reports.

Unfortunately all of the similar problem threads I found, including your reference, were closed without real solutions to the problem.

The SebastianZ article seems to be the most detailed of its sort that I've seen, but I'll still have to figure out how to run the queries against our MSSQL database.  

Seems there should be a tool or something that would  help with this already.

The article query doesn't privide and exact query to get this data. However, you can call support and they will help you construct one.

There is no other tool for SEPM retrive infromation you can tested with sql query or if you are use SCCM/Altiris retrive that information.

Barring a proper solution, an alternate question is

What's the simplest query that will return PCname and Client serial number?  

If I have those two things aligned in a list, I can mash it against other lists to get the answers I really need. 

As you know already submited idea is under 'Review' status so let's hope to get it implemented soon.

Yeah, I'm still waiting for any format other than mht for SEPM's weekly reports.  

Would be easy and useful feature, but I don't think my boss is willing to wait that long for this data.
