Need to Edit User Comment/Resolution

How can a "User Comment" and "Resolution" for a sub-task be modifed once it is in the Resolved state?

We have a user who entered some information with an inappropriate word.  We need to edit the Resolution for this sub-task as well as the User Comment that is stored in the History section for that sub-tasks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can edit any comment with the red arrow but the issue is that it also audits the change into the history which is probably not what you want. You can't unfortunately change this behaviour as it's in the Workflow Core.

I just attempted to make this change.  It created a new comment with the edit.  The problem is, the original comment with the inappropriate word is still in the history as well.

Yep, that's unfortunately what it does. I wanted to use this to edit out any password information in a ticket but can't really do so because of the audit. You can try changing the view permission on that comment to private or admin so the user doesn't see. The only other ways I can think of would be to make the change in the database or restrict the incident by the permissions.

I see exactly what your saying.  I figured out how to make the change in the database table.  I passed this on to management for them to make the call on how to address it.  Console vs. Database.
