Need to export data and SEP does not offer this...

I wanted to do it in the unmanaged clients, but now it is becoming necessary to also do it under my client structure, I want to get all the IP's of the current clients and push RU 6 out to them via Pushdeployment, because the other method takes too long and kills the network. I REALLY need to get this to a point of where information can be extracted to a CSV or a notepad, this way I do not have the tedious task of manually typing in multiple entries, is there ANY way to do this? SSC DID offer this...All the information under these titles is what I want to be able to extract. Thank you.

    Go to Monitor

and Click on Logs and select Computer status logs

    and follow the kb :

    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/articles/how-export-virus-definition-and-client-information-excel-format

You can then select the Ip address from there

Targetting IP addresses is generally not a good way to go about things as they change when clients get dhcp etc.
You should really target host names and let your script/sms/sepm/etc resolve to the current IP address.

You can export a full list of all clients by just doing a client search and then export without entering any search criteria.
Or you can narrow it down to a particular OS or domain or whatever you like really.

Under Monitors, go to the Logs tab.  Chose the Computer Status category.  The Default Filter is fine.  Click on View Log button.  Click the Export button at the top left
This will give you everything you need and more.

Throw it into Excel and you can do anything you need with it.............. including extracting lists of only names, only IP, etc.

It's sort of ironic really - we have all this high-end stuff  - meaning SMS/SCCM, the microsoft tools for pushing software, gathering information/inventory, etc.
HOWEVER, when the boss wants something to go out, go out quickly, and reliably they come to me - and I use SEPM to get the information, toss it into excel, manipulate, sort, extract, whatever, then create text files.
I then create the packages for whatever I need to do, be it run scripts, change the registry, or install or remove software using Symantec Packager from years ago when it came with pcAnywhere and SAV, and point Pacakger to the lists I got from SEPM.
In short order, I have things modified or installed, all using simple Symantec tools! LOL - I started using SAV's info years ago and have continued with SEPM because it's a great way to get current computer info, including network info and IP addresses - no computer exists here that doesn't run SEP (because it's on the images) so it's pretty accurate at least here.
I wonder if anyone there ever dreampt of how else their products and their features would be handy or could be used.
Long live Packager and thank you Symantec for all this GREAT INFO SAV, and now SEPM give us!!  You've put me into "hero" status here more than once  ;-)  They think I can work miracles now! LOL
