This idea for plain text alerts worked for when a virus is found. (or at least the first time it's found.  I'd rather know each time a virus is found but that will be another thread....)

I'm still getting these emails that are NOT plain text though.  My organization started blocking certain types of email.  The formatting in these Symantec alerts causes it to get blocked.

"Symantec Endpoint Protection Computer List Changed"

"Schedule Report: Executive Weekly Summary Report"

"CRITICAL: OLD VIRUS DEFINITIONS"

I just want to get all alerts in plain text.  That gets the email through and avoid my organization blocking them because of the formatting.

Is there something else I can do besides the tweak in the other thread?

The article just mentions editing the conf.properties file. It should be straightforward. May want to check in with support then.

Is that supposed to change all alerts coming out of my SEPM?

For all email notifications.
