Need help with Backup Exec 2010 Quickstart Pack problem

Created: 26 Sep 2012 | 1 comment

On a Windows 2003 Enterprise Server, the backup that used to run no longer works.  There are now hardware issues related to memory and PCI that make it critical to get a good backup.  The backup is getting these errors: V-79-57344-65084 - Before you can back up this resource, you must purchase and install a license key for the appropriate Backup Exec agent.  Verify is getting this error: V-79-57344-33858 - A memory allocation request failed.  The computer may be running low on virtual memory.  There is also a final error 0xe000fe3c.  A license key has been previously entered and accepted.

Make sure you have unchecked "BKUPEXEC" SQL instance in the backup selection list.

If the above is already unchecked than reinstall Quickstart license key from Tools->Install Options

and License key.

Note: Quickstart Edition is cut down version of BE so very limited features are availiable in this edition.

QSE cannot backup any remote servers too.
