Need help with Error Code: 261E
Hi everyone,
I'm getting the following error code on the front display screen of my tape library (Quantum M2500) with a red flashing LED.
Error Code: 261E
Press any button to continue
Can anyone tell me what it means and how I can clear it?
I tried inventorying the robot but get the error message below
Inventory failed: Unable to sense robotic device (202)
I'm using NetBackup 6.5.3.2 running on Windows 2003 R2
Thanks,

Think you'll need to contact the tape library vendor for this
- more of a hardware issue as opposed to NetBackup!
Maybe try here: http://www.quantum.com/ServiceandSupport/SoftwareandDocumentationDownloads/M2500/Index.aspx
***EDIT***
If you look into the pdf M-series user guides that's linked to on the above URL you'll find that in the "Fault Symptom Code (FSC) Dictionary" 261E is
261E FSC_SERVO_PICK_ACTION_STALLED The Picker could not get the cartridge to its required position
You'll need to get in there & look for dislodged or broken tapes, upside down tapes (don't laugh, it does happen!) - or there really is a fault with the picker or drive alignment & you'll need to place a call with your hardware support people!
Good luck!

I wanted to give this a try before I reached out to Quantum.
