Need Help on Memory specs

Need to upgrade a 8260 device with 1 GB RAM installed (4 x 512 MB SDRAM). Part number on the memory is M393T6540F20. Can't locate a match?

Anyone have the specs for the memory. The existing chips look like PC2700 333 MHz but I can't cross reference the number above.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Mike Gardner

Hello Mike,

So we don't technically "support" upgrading the appliances hardware. Depending on what hardware model you are using though, the hardware support may have expired anyways. So we can't really make a recommendation on how to go about this.

You can find your hardware specifications at the following site:

Dell Service Tag Lookup

Thanks!

Tom

Thanks Tom,

Called support and we got it worked out. Had to go to Dell web site and found the info.

I was looking for a Symantec or Dell 8260 device while the one we have is really a 1850 model. A bit confusing as it still says 8260 on the front.

All's well and it is PC2-3200 ECC registered memory (DDR 2-400) for anyone else looking.
