  • 1.  Need to include SEP 11.xx client on Windows 2008 or 2012 image

    Hello,

    I am trying to create an image of Windows 2012. I want to be able to install SEP 11.xx client on the image that way each time the image is deployed, SEP is already installed, running and reporting to the SEP manager. Thanks

    I will also like a solution for SEP 12.xx cleint as well. Thanks

    What happend when you have create SEP 12.x Client image ?

    I want the SEP 12.xx client pre-installed on a Windows 2012 image. So that whenever the image is deployed on a new server, the SEP won't report any conflict.

    There is no version of SEP 11 that is or will be compatible with Windows 8 or Server 2012.

    You will need to use SEP 12.1 RU2 as the client.

    Be sure your SEPM is 12.1 RU2

    Support for Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 is introduced with the release of SEP 12.1 Release Update 2 (RU2).  SEP 12.1 RU2 is the earliest supported build that is compatable with Windows 8 and Server 2012

    Please note there is currently no SEP 11.x version that would be compatible with either Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012 - you will need to stick with SEP 12.1 RU2.

     

    For Server 2008 it is fine to use the SEP 11.x - please refere to the documentation provided above for preparing the image for SEP deployment.
