    Hey there,

Im wondering if there is possability to prompt for the login credentials while loggin in to the Altiris NS (6.9) web-console.

The idea is to ask for a different user account for the web-console.

I searched for a solution in the forum without luck...

    Regartds,

    Alex

    Hi,

I'm not sure if this will help in your case, but:

In IE options, tab "Security". Press "Custom Level" for the corresponding zone and scroll down to the end.

There should be "User Authentication: Logon" section.

Select "Prompt for user name and password", OK, Apply.

Restart IE and try to logon to NS console.

    Thank you,

    Alex.

    Hey Alex,

now, with more than 20 work mates which are accessing the web-console i would like to have a more "enterprise" ready setup for that.

It should be possible to have the IIS-settings changed for such needs? Is there an other option may be?

    Regards,

    Alex

    Hi AMiiMA,

I'm sorry - I do not have a quick answer to that. You may try to play with "Directory Security -> Authentication and access control -> Authenticated access" options for Altiris web-site in IIS, but I suppose you have already tried this option.

As "other option" - if checkbox in IE properties is an registry value and if all computers have the SMA agent then you may try to create some script which will set this value to turn-on the IE setting. Just an idea..

    Thank you,

    Alex.
