Need to upgrade windows 2003 to 2008

Hi,

 

I have Windows 2003 with SEPM 11.0.6005 and i will upgrade it to 12.1 but also i need to upgrade windows to 2008, so i upgrade SEPM first or windows?

and how to move the SEPM to new windows 2008?

it's simple, option 1) Back

it's simple,

option 1)

Back up of existing SEPM DB and certificates  ( check these links).

 

upgrade the OS to Windows 2008.

Restore the SEPM DB after builind SEPM ( DR steps).

Then upgrade the SEPM's to 12.1 RU 1.

option 2)

Back up of existing SEPM DB and certificates  ( check these links).

 Then upgrade the SEPM's to 12.1 RU 1.

Back up of upgraded SEPM DB and certificates 

upgrade the OS to Windows 2008.

NOte: have the same SEPM hostname and IP address

Agree with Pete. Backup is

Agree with Pete. Backup is the main part, so you can also create the manually backup of SEPM data base and copy on yor system for the safety purpose.
