Install OS and then Systemstate that's it

i Doubt systemstate restore would work with different hardware  as MS doesn't supports such restores

You can give a try to recover it. Was this WebServer or Domain Controller?

 Cheers !!!

See this TN for complete system restore instructions:http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH56473

No guarantees that this will work to migrate to VM. BMR is recommended for this purpose.

Hello Marianne.

BMR is not installes.

VM is up, now they ask to restore C:\ drive and after that system state and shadow..

According to you, how i proceed?..

Please suggest..

Please read my previious post again. The 1st TN is the non-BMR way with step-by-step instructions.

Hello Marianne.

Actually earlier my team did restore of one of VM server and restore completed successfully but 2-3 application not started after restore.

Now client ask for another restore, he build one more VM server and want restore on that server but i doubt on application part, might be this time again it will not coming up, is there any thing which we can do in REGEDIT to make this effective..

Please check if the original host has drive other than C:\ and these application need files on it. if so, try to restore these drives at same time with C:\.
