Need urgent restore help

Hi Team,

My restore is failing with the below error:

I am using command line bpadm.

You need to give us more info.

You initially had this error:

 Incorrect rename line:

What was changed at this point? Last error: 

tar received an invalid argument

Please help us understand what/how you are trying to restore.
Where are you running bpadm from? Client or server? Redirected or same client? What type of restore? Filesystem? Encrypted backup?

Please post client's tar log as File attachment.

Hi Marianne,

I am running the restore from Master server for a SAP client.

source and destination are same

but destination path is different

I have guven Yes to the below

destination path substution

rename hard link

and rename soft link

I have tried the below possibilities.

rename hard link :- Yes

and rename soft link: -No

rename hard link :- No

and rename soft link: -No

 

and it no overwrite restore.

running bpsdm from master server.

Is this a SAP agent restore?

Rather use steps in NBU for SAP Admin Guide for UNIX and Linux  to start restore from client.

Enable all logs as per Troubleshooting section of this manual.

Apologies for the late reply. The restore has been completed successfully.

There was an issue with our netbackup master server. After reboot it fixed the issue.
