Need a way to get NB agent version

Created: 13 Jan 2012 • Updated: 13 Jan 2012 | 2 comments
This issue has been solved. See solution.

I need to get NetBackup version information. I can use bpgetconfig to get the NB info across my entire environment, but I also need to confirm the Oracle agent version.

Anyone know the best best to get this? I am not aware of any command to get the agent version, and I don't see a "version" file for the agent.

Thanks

You need to get that on the client itself:

cat /usr/openv/share/version_*

Each agent/option has a version file in the share folder. This applies up to 6.5.x.

As from 7.0, All agents and options are included with client installation.

For some reasion, I thought there was a version file (named "version") in the dbext/oracle subdirectory.
