Netbackup 6.5.4 - Does the client for ESX server support SAN Client + Fibre Transport

Hi,
        First off I'm a noob so be nice. Can anyone tell me if its possible to backup my ESX 3.5 and 4.0 servers using the SAN Client and Fibre Transport ? Will I need client version 6.5.4 for this ?(my masters and SAN media servers are already 6.5.4. Thx

VCB proxy ?

Yes you can use the Fibre Transport if you use the VCB proxy.   If you wan't to use the FTL service inside a virtual host, then no I don't think you can.

Assumption is the mother of all mess ups.

You can backup by installing

You can backup by installing a client software to ESX host but it will be overhead to ESX server. 

So it is better you configure VCB proxy SAN media server and do VCB based backup to backup ESX server

I don't think so

San Client and SAN media server cannot backup remote clients
