NetBackup 7 client in MSCS as "not-cluster-aware"

Trying to install a deduping NBU client in a win2003 MS cluster. The cluster is modified to a degree so it will fail using normal install.

Looking for a way to force the nbuclient install to be like non-clustered (or not-cluster-aware) in two MS cluster nodes.

(need to know quite certain, cannot try and error in this prod. env.)

NetBackup client software

NetBackup client software must always be installed locally on all cluster nodes. NetBackup client software cannot be clustered.

Please elaborate on this statement: "The cluster is modified to a degree so it will fail using normal install. "

Are you saying that clicking on browser.exe will not work?

"Looking for a way to force the nbuclient install to be like non-clustered (or not-cluster-aware) in two MS cluster nodes."

When running the normal installer (browser.exe) it will add the NBU-pbx-stuff and a cluster-service-group.

This confuses this MS-non-default-configured-cluster solution to fail... therefore want install as non-clustered.

As we all are part of the product, we're in here to improve it.
