are you looking for File system backup or snapshot method....?

if you are looking for just file system backup it should..

Is there something specific you are thinking about here? (such as BMR?)

NetBackup sees files on a volume so has no knowledge of the underlying structure - so it should be fine

Not sure in what way you are looking for support?

As backup source (i.e where data to be backed up reside)?
If so - NBU is not concerned with underlying disk layout.
As long as the OS can read the filesystem, you can specify the mount point/directory in Backup Selection.

If you want to use it as backup destination (Storage Unit), once again - NBU is not concerned with underlying disk layout. As long as the OS can write to the filesystem, it can be used as backup destination.

Sounds like its a question of whether it can be backed up / restored.

And if it is, then the answer is , its the wrong question to ask.

What matters is the filesystem and OS, so these are issues about client compatibility and no doubt someone will post up the link to the compat documents but a quick search will load to the same.

Compatibility Guides as well as all NBU manuals (e.g. NetBackup Admin Guide I that explains how to configure NetBackup devices and Storage Units as well how to create backup policies) can be found in 'Handy NBU Links' in my signature.

As already mentioned Netbackup do not care about RAID levels. It's up to the operating system to read data off the file system and provide the data to Netbackup.

Not all OS are supported so check out the comparability matrix (as mentioned by others).
