I need to generate a report with the hostname and netbackup agent version for all clients that i use in all policies.

Other think is there is any way to configure automatically reports on netbackup than made available by trap to be used on my global monitoring system at IONIX.

Thanks

Unfortunately I don;t believe this can be done in NetBackup - it doesn't log the client version.

You can check client version of each client in Client Host Properties. Go [NetBackup Management]-[Host Properties]-[Clients], select clients in right pane, and press [connect] icon in tool bar.

This list is extracted from clients of all policies, so clients are listed by its client name - not by node name. Clients registered by cluster VIP are also included.

Ahhhh ...

I should be more clear.

You can get the hostnames, as Yasuhisa correctly pointed out, but not the version of the client software installed ...

OpsCenter also gives a nice report showing the client hostnames, but again, not the version.

Martin

Just correcting you, OCA does reports back version of NBU client

It is under Report, Clients

I think NBDNA also should be helpful to you getting version info

 Cheers !!!

I checked under there,  the only repot that lists the NBU  'version' in the headings was the 'Client Dashboard'.  For all clients, the client version was listed as '-' , unless the client was a master or media serever, in which case the client version was listed.

I'm 99% sure we don't keep the client version in EMM, which is of course where OpsCenter gets it's info from (unless it is a master or media).
