Netbackup 71,156 errors

Hello All,

Master Server:

Windows 2008, Same on Media server as well

Netbackup version: Netbackup 7.0.1 Enterprise server, Same on Media server as well

Client: MS Window 2000 5.00.2195 Service pack4

Backup Selection List: All local Drives

C Drive: Total-8GB

             Free Space - 2.70GB

E Drive: Total - 3GB

             2.39GB

Edrive is getting backed up ok and also the system state but the backup is now failing after producing the below.

none of the files in the file list exist(71)

when i try adding some files in the exclude list it again fails with 156 as below.

Which version of NetBackup client you have installed on this client?

Windows Open File Backup is enabled on this client? How did you tuned VSP?

Any relevant messages in event log and bpbkar debug log?

Can you backup any small pieces in C: drive? (like C:\WINNT??\System32\drivers\etc)

NetBackup Client: 6.5.4

Windows Open File Backup is not enabled. I have tried enabling it and performing the bkp but no luck.

VSP Parameters:

Cache Min 30MB and Max 30000MB

Busy file wait 5secs and Busy file timeout 600secs

No messages in event viewer and bpbkar logs.

Tried backing up the entire C Drive from the client(User backup), was successful but with exceptions. Tried creating a new policy for only C Drive which is failing and ran a backup, even this was successful but did'nt escape from exceptions.

Then again i tried running a manual bkp from master, but the initial error still persists. Backup went to incomplete state and has exited with 42 this time.

Now this is making me impatient. Someone help.
