Netbackup 7.5.0.3 - restore a file to Solaris from Linux source
Hello,
I am trying to restore a file to Solaris 10 that was backed up from a Red Hat 5.8 system. The file restores ok but the jobs exits with an error complaining about a security file. What can I do about this? Eventually the Solaris box will be replaced by Linux, but for now I need this to complete without errors.
See output below.
Thanks.

hi,
11:55:11 (803854.001) (803854.001) INF - TAR RESTORED 1 OF 2 FILES SUCCESSFULLY
it restored only one file out of 2
what is the 2nd file name?
please enable tar log in client /usr/openv/netbckup/logs/tar and keep Verbose 5 .
please attach the log to this post.
The second file is the security file that the Solaris OS doesn't like.
.SeCuRiTy.12,
Extended file attributes. See this old thread:

will restore -- where there is a Will there is a way
I found this thread earlier, but I was hoping that there was some kind of work-around so we don't get the error in the activity monitor.
Well the only way I know is to restore to same-kind server ;)

i agree with wr.
Adding to wr, restore to the volume of same filesystem type.

Sorry, you'll have to live with it.
