This issue has been solved. See solution.

I plan to backup VMware machines on a 5220 Appliance FW 5.2 using SAN transport mode.

My appliance will be connected in a dual path / dual fabric mode to a HP EVA 6100 to access DataStore.

I do not find any technote about "how to configure multipathing" for this Appliance ?

For Linux SLES, there is some updates to /etc/multipath.conf...

Does anyone know where there is documentation about this ?

NBU Appliance runs Storage Foundation so DMP should take care about this.

But there is a better place to ask this type of questions - the Appliances forum

One more thing, when you zone it via two different paths DMP in majority of cases "just works"

Storage Foundation Multipathing documentation can be found in the SF Manual or online: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/articles/veritas-storage-foundation-50-dynamic-multi-pathing-optimizing-availability-and-performance
