Netbackup catalog recovery

we have netbackup 7.5 and catalog is missing some full clients backups. use hdd's in pools. is there any way to recover catalog backup ?

Please help us understand what this means?
Were some full backups never done? Or have 'some backups' already expired?
Catalog backup will only contain valid, unexpired images that were present when catalog backup was done.
Please try and give us the 'full story'?
