Netbackup Oracle Backup - Parent Job Stucks at "validating image for client"

This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hi,

We have Netbackup 7.5 installed on Windows 2008 R2 64 Bit System.

Oracle database is installed on AIX 6.1 system.

Backup starts properly, but the Parent job stucks at "validating image for client ".

Waited for 1 hour but no success and displayed no error. So i canceled the backup.

Three times i faced the same problem.

Don`t know whrere to search.

We can see that bpbrm is "validating image for client ".

Please post bpbrm log on media server.

Hi Marianne,

Problem found with policy.

So i have deleted the original policy & created new policy.

Now it is working ok.

Faced same problem again.

So ,i have added below entry with exact policy name.

#policy <Policy Name>

in initSAP.utl file.

Now working ok.
