Put  VERBOSE = 5 into bp.conf

Put  VERBOSE = 5 into bp.conf and create /usr/openv/netbackup/logs/bpbkar on client. Perform backup and check this log. You'll se why it finished with error 1.

Is nothing untoward reported at all in

the Job Details in the Activity Monitor for the parent process?

Check the child again

Did any of the children have more then one attempt?
(Look at details for the job)
It could be the first attempt failed but the second one worked.

I don't have to know how to spell....I work on Unix.

Also, are all the children accounted for?

If one finished with status 1 & was subsequently deleted from the GUI ........ or are you checking in the client backups/status report(s)

Don't you just LOVE how

Don't you just LOVE how everybody tries to help with just NO response from the person asking the initial question?

Supporting Storage Foundation and VCS on Unix and Windows as well as NetBackup on Unix and Windows.
