Netbackup restore from different media server

Hi

We did have 1 master tape media device and 1 slave, the slave is now knackered and we have to do a restore of some data.

The time line still exists as the master is OK, but when we try the restore it asks us to put the tape in the slave.

Is there a way of telling netbackup to use the Master with the tapes in, rather wanting to use the none existent slave ?

cheers

Jon

From T/N link above:

UNIX : Put FORCE_RESTORE_MEDIA_SERVER = fromhost tohost in bp.conf

Windows:

Use the RegEdit application to modify the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VERITAS\NetBackup\CurrentVersion\Config to add the value FORCE_RESTORE_MEDIA_SERVER and then set the newly added value to fromhost tohost, where fromhost is the media server that performed the original backup and tohost is the desired media host to use for the restore.

Assumption is the mother of all mess ups.
