Nothing obvious about status 2850. (It is not even listed in Status Code manual.)

Please share all relevant info such as
NBU version on SQL client and NBU server(s)
OS on SQL client
SQL version
Restore to same or alternate client?
All text in Job Details and restore progess log
dbclient log (as File Attachment) on SQL client
restore script

More logs may be needed, so please ensure that all of the following log folders exist:

On master: bprd (Request Service must be restarted after log folder is created)
On media server: bptm and bpbrm
On client: bpcd and dbclient

Remember that to restore the Master database you need to put the SQL Server service into single user mode before you can do the restore - check in case that is your issue

Note that this means you also cannot have any SQL Admin Consoles open or anything else that would be connected to SQL when doing the restore as NBU needs exclusive access

Hope this helps
