Migrated from Windows XP 32-bit computer with PGP 10.2.0 (Build 1672) WDE & NetShare to Windows 7 64-bit with PGP 10.2.1 MP 5 (build 5033).
no problems on WDE opening of pdf files on computer hard drive. on server with NetShare all files open ok except for pdf files. when attempting to open a pdf file, i get the message:
"Acrobat could not open '*Document Name*' becasue it's either not a supported file type or becasue the file has been damaged (for example,it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)."
i disabled Enhanced Security in Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat X as suggested in one forum discussion to no avail.
i can decrypt the server folder that contains pdf files and open any pdf file without any problem. when i then encrypt again the same folder, i get the same error message stated above and cannot open pdf files.
i have "unlocked" he file with pgp via file properties, pgp tab; get the pop up that pgp has unlocked the file and still get the same Adobe error message stated above.
i can open excel, word and other documents that are encrypted on the server without any problems.
has anyone experienced the same problem and found a solution?
thanks.
