I have a home network with 2 desktops and 2 laptops and a SYNOLOGY DS110J NAS enclosure running with DSM 3.2 -1922 with a 1TB disk in it.
Key directories of the computers are backed up to a dedicated folder on the NAS.
Recently I had to install PGP encryption from Symantec on my work laptop running WINXP SP3.
Since then I still can access the network share (net use x: \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\folder) but when I write to it, it immediately slows down the PC and it hangs.
Ctrl-Alt-Del does nothing anymore. The mouse pointer still moves.
Reboot is the only option
Switching off PGP does not change anything.
Uninstalling could be the next action, but decrypting a 320GB drive of which 50% is used takes time !!
I would like some hints on diagnosing/solving this issue....
