Was wondering if it is possible to create a Discover scan to detect files based on thier creation date or last modified? Im using the v11.1 of DLP

Yep, you can do that. You would still have to setup the type of scan (File System, for instance) but within the scanning setup, you can choose when a file was modified and other properties (see screenshot).

Thanks AMyers for sharing, I think this what Jeff expecting. But can you store the scanning profile of diffrent creation date/modified date. Let me know whre the profiles stored.

This is working nicely.  Kishorilal, can you elaborate on what you are asking for?

If I'm understanding your question correctly, you would have to set a different scan up for different dates ranges (if you wanted to go incremental).

Continuing with that train of thought,

If the scan is completed and I modify the existing scan filter from last modified of 12/31/2009 to 12/31/2011.  Will Vontu automatically scan all items at the next scan or will I need to manually change the scan type to "Full Scan" or "scan all items on next scan".
