Network Discovery Gurus please help,

When I try to discovery our network devices, it would list unknown.  Is there a process on how to identify this?  I haven't really used network discovery for routers and switches before.  I have read the user manual, but it is not very clear.  Could you shed some light, point me to a better guide or share some tips?

Thank you.

They show up as unknown because the OID's are not listed in the device classification.

Browse the MIB of a device to find the make/model.  Classify that OID as switch, router, ids, firewall, etc....

If you have access to the network staff, I would provide them with a list IP's and see if they can define the devices from their network map.  This is usually a quicker solution.
