  • 1.  The network Name cannot be found

    We have just rebuilt our server and had assistance from Support in installing Altiris Deployment Solution 6.9 SP2.  The IP Address of our server changed and we needed to update the AClient on all of our machines out in the district.  (Just a little background... we were having some major issues with remote control, imaging, etc last year that we decided to start fresh with a clean server and rebuild our database).  this is what happens, when I go to remote agent installer and I select the computers that I want to update the AClient on, click next, finish I receive this message: 

    "The Network Name cannot be found.  Unable to connect to computer (Computer Name) with username serveradmin (our user name for the server).  right now, it is not in reference to a specific model or VLAN...

    the other message that I get...

    "Logon Failure; unknown user name or bad password.  Unable to connect to computer (Computer Name) with username serveradmin

    Any thoughts...

    Does the account you are using "serveradmin" has administrator rights on the system you are trying to push the agent too? Are all systems part of a domain, in that case i would use a domain admin account.

    "Serveradmin" does have all administrator rights on the system and all systems are part of a single domain (we have no other domains in our network)... I also tried it with normal Administrator account as well....
