This issue has been solved. See solution.

I used to have a working beta installation of ITMS 7.1, but have since rebuilt the server and when using the existing already downloaded code, i get the following error message right before SIM checks to see what source code has already been downloaded.

Is this expected?

I'm urgently trying to get this setup again, please can soomeone advise. I'm not sure why its trying to locate a repository over the internet when all the code is already downloaded locally.

Please see the two screen shots.

Much appreciated

It's quite possible the website is down, as the beta is closed and Symantec is moving to release the code next month. I have no way to verify this, other than trying to contact the website itself and getting an error.

I'll see if we can get an official comment.

although i have the code locally, and really dont need to download anything from their website,  so if anyone knows how to by bypass this error so it uses the local files, that would be best.

Maybe can edit the registry...

to comment one way or the other. So much better than me guessing.

Not sure if someone is able to shed some light on this....but i think the issue here is as simple as SIM doesnt seem to have access to the local Altiris installation repository folder;

These are the installation logs. I've just pasted the part which i think is most relevant, but not sure how to ensure that it fetches the files from the local folder rather than trying to search the web address

I've given all folders and files relevant Admin access

Not sure, but re-installed SIM (again) and seems to have gone through fine.

Happy Days!
