Endpoint Protection

I am building a brand new Symantec Endpoint Management server in a brand new domain.  Do I need to install RU6 and then update to MP1 or can I just install MP1?

You need to install RU6 first then apply MP1

if you are starting new
install RU6; MP1 directly
RU6 had some issues so to fix; MP1 was released it was specific to that version only
As you are staring new
install RU6 MP1 directly

In a new Server you can directly go with RU6Mp1..
Only in upgrading from a older version like RU5 to RU6MP1 you need RU6 first then RU6MP1

What were the issues?

No issues.  I just wanted to know because on fileconnect it called MP1 an inline update but the download looked like a full installation instead of just an update therefore I just wanted to know if I needed to install RU6 and then install MP1 over it or whether I could just install MP1 outright. 

MP1 will be perfectly fine.If you have any further issues or queries you can anytime open a new thread and it will be answered ASAP.

Vikram.  Above, it was referenced t hat RU6 has some issues.  I have several RU6 installs in place and don't like to upgrade for the fun of it :-)

If the RU6 issues fixed are importance to resolve I'd upgrade.  If not I'll wait.  So, I was wanting to know what  the issues were in RU6 that were fixed in MP1.

Upgrade might be a prob..as it has been during every upgrade..however fresh installs are always fresh..
