Ghost Solution Suite

Hello,

 

We just installed our full version on our new box and everything seems to be working exept when we deploy the remote agent installer the machine does not show up in teh ghost suite console under new computers? It deploys fine and we see it installs on the target machine. However, I do notice the agent icon not in the sys tray of the target machines but I do see the folder it creates. we also get a green check stating it has deployed.

 

Again, any help would be great!

Have the target machines been rebooted?  What operating system versions are you using?

Yes,

 

rebooted the target machines. We are using windows 7.

If the agent has installed but not shown up in the Notification Area or Console that's because the agent can't contact the server, check: 1. The Agent has the correct name/IP address of the Server, HKLM\Software\Altiris\eXpress from memory 2. If that's correct check name resolution 3. Check Windows (or other) firewalls. You can check the Windows firewall log in the windows directory.
