    Hello to all,
     
    Running Symantec Corporate A/V with multiple sites.
     
    How would I download the new DAT files and scan engines to my A/V server if my FTP ports were to be turned off at a router.
     
    I do not have control over this "decision" and/or router as well.

    Hello,
     
    Unless I'm mistaken, using liveupdate w/ ftp is the only way to automatically pull down defs.  The SSC uses ftp to pull down defs, the xdbdown.cmd file uses ftp.  The only other way I can think of is to download defs manually daily from Symantec's site.

    What version of SAVCE and SSC are you using? If I remember correctly, in the Virus Definition Manager, you can configure to download updates from LiveUpdate using FTP or HTTP.
