    Hi All,

I found the canned new hire workflow deep in the program data of workflow and it has everything we want from offer letter to ordering IT equipment and badging/security. This is all really great.

What I don't understand is how to actually start the new hire workflow. I see many forms to put a great deal of information in, but how does the workflow start? A webpage? In Servicedesk?

Essentially, when HR says they have a new hire, where does one go to kick it off?

When you're satisfied with the project, you can publish to your workflow server and use the URL anywhere you'd like.  You can easily publish to the Service Catalog in ProcessManager (the portal used for ServiceDesk) by checking this box during publishing:

Once published to Process Manager, you can move the catalog item around between categories, and control visibility permissions based on who is logged into the portal (or ServiceDesk).

Alternately, you can use the published URL anywhere you want, such as a Sharepoint site, intranet page, email link, etc.

Let me know if this helps, or if I didn't understand your question.

Ok so I got the WF to work and it works beautifully. Now I'm wondering if we can turn it into a webpart so the actual worfklow runs within sharepoint. Not just a link that sends you to the WF in process manager. Is this possible?

You could try creating a custom Sharepoint webpart that's basically just an IFRAME that links to the URL of the workflow launch.
