NEw to IM Manager

Hi
I am wondering if Instaling the IM Manager, will effect the client machines IM directly, will I need to go to each machine to configure it, will it block the user initially...we are looking to deploy this as stealth?

The typical way to install IM
The typical way to install IM Manager is to perform DNS redirection. See section "Installing and configuring a forwarder DNS on your Symantec IM Manager server" in the IM Manager Implementation Guide for details on configuring the IM Manager server DNS.
