What the heckity heck goes on in symantecs world. We have been trying to buy new licenses and the reseller is having major probelms getting them.

Is it just me, have i got some sort of curse that when any dealings with symantec come up it usually ends up me having an even worse view of the company.!

Its beyond weird the nonsens I have had to put up with when buying licenses!

Next ridiculous step is combining my existing licesnes with these 'yet to appear' new licesnes - now that was an experience last time!

which reseller are you going through?  We have had success with SHI and Novacoast if not purchasing through Symantec directly. Yes combining the licenses is the best since the new licenses will override the existing license keys in quantity.  what are your specfic issues/questions other than trying to get the license files from your un-mentioned reseller in a timely fashion?
