New media - How can i solve 0xe0008703 error?

I bought new media to BAckupExec11d. They are the same as i have in use now. I put a new tape on drive and started a TestRun and message was:

 

Media CheckOnline media check   : Insufficient online or nearline media is available to start job.
Overwrite media check: There is no media online or nearline that can be overwritten or the job has been marked append/terminate.
Media check status   : Failed

It seems ther is no tape. Do i have to do any special procedure ?

After you put the new tape into the tape drive, did you right-click on the tape drive and select Label to label the tape.  A new tape needs to be labeled before it can be used.

Hello Sergio,

    You may also refer to the following technote

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH28862  : "Job failed running its test run. See log file for details" (a0008703 HEX or e0008703 HEX) No devices found to run job is reported when running a "Test Run"

 

I would suggest you to run the actual job instead of test Run and see if there is any failure which I think there won't be any failure if everything is setup correctly.
