new options under help and support button
Whose idea was it to add "download support tool" and "submit product suggestions" under the help and support button in the RU5 client?
The last thing I want is to have a user download the support tool, or submit product suggestions (lol).
Useless feature (in my opinion). Is there a way to remove them?
There is no way to remove
There is no way to remove these features. You can create a rule in your policy to block users from downloading the tool.

I can see it causing some
I can see it causing some issues for some, I'm mixed about it. I find it handy, but in the "corporate world", not good.
Maybe an option, like Raxco's Perfect Disk has, it will allow you to setup a GPO that will turn on or off certain menu items, and you can do the same with Acrobat Reader via GPO - turn on or off such things.
I can see it being handy in some cases, we'd get a support call from a remote office, we could have them run such a tool, but as restricted users with no rights, I wonder if it would download and run? Probably since they could DL it to My Documents or the Desktop and run it, unless it INSTALLS something, it would run.
I guess - I also have to look at the "what harm will it do".............. they get into more trouble shopping for new shoes using Google!

Any forum topic that has a post by you in it, requires me to click the below prompt. Probably because of the pictures in your signature which are http (not S)
You're making me do extra work :) This is on IE8
Wouldn't it be just as easy
Wouldn't it be just as easy to require a password to open the SEP client interface for regular users? If they can't even open it, they can't run those utilities. :-)

Submit product suggestions
From a corporate perspective, having this option is not good. You're asking non-IT related users to submit suggestions, IMO that's asking for unqualified responses. Having this option for home users is fine, but IMO, at the corporate level is not good.
