In New Windows 7 installation latest sep i.e. 12.1.3001.165 does not installed.

Dear All,

I am having problem with latest sep 12.1.3001.165. it is being given rollback error. I have installed fresh windows 7 enterprise. then when I am going to install latest sep 12.1.3001.165 it gives roll back error every time . when I checked events logs it shows installer failed with event id 11708. Please help me out on these.

In New Windows 7 installation latest sep i.e. 12.1.3001.165 does not installed.

Hii pete_4u2002,

 

Thank you for quick responce but you mentioned logs not in there .  i find only below files in temp folders.

are you using the custom package? if yes, have you changed the log location?

can you serach the drives for this log?

if not, can you use msi with switches to generate the log.

HI, 

Are u installing locally or remotely?

Have you customized your package ?

Default log location is %temp%, fie name will be SEP_INST.log

Use a Unmanaged client package and remove all .zip * files from the package. Which is all types of Virus defs file and than try installation and update the thread.
