In Altiris 6.9, a new computer could be turned on, forced to boot from the NIC, and it would go into Win PE.  In the 6.9 Console, that new computer would show up with the serial number, and an image could immediately be dragged and dropped onto that computer name.

In 7.1, is there a similar method to view newly discovered computers, and then be able to drag/drop images on them?  The only thing I have come up with that is even close is this:

From Win PE, open the command prompt that is minimized and determine the hostname (always preceded by "minint-").  I can also do an ipconfig from here to determine the IP.  Then, create a Discover Item task and input the hostname or IP address.  Then, I can go to an image deployment task and do a quick run on that computer name that was just discovered.

This method seems to take significantly longer than it would on 6.9.  Is there a quicker way to go about this?
