Next Post SBS 2008 Error message about SEP12

This issue has been solved. See solution.

In my previous post on this subject (https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/sbs-2008-error-message-about-sep12) I was advised to turn off the Audit Policy which I did not do as I could not find about the risk of doing this (maybe it was a sledge hammer to break a nut). Now I have renewed the SEP license the error is being reported again. Since then does anyone have a better solution or confirm the impact of turning off the policy?

Seems to be know issue

Code Integrity is unable to verify the image integrity of the file \Device\HarddiskVolume1\Windows\System32\drivers\SYMEVENT.SYS because the set of per-page image hashes could not be found on the system

 
does display the same warning to differnet symantec components.
 
 
it should be safe to turn it off now but once the issue is fixed its good to put it on.

Hello,

Is this issue orrurying only on 1 machine??

Since the SEPM and SEP client are installed on the same machine, I would suggest you to -

1) Migrate the SEPM to the Latest version of SEP 12.1 RU3 and

2) Uninstall the SEP client on the machine, Restart the machine upon uninstallation and Install the Latest SEP client version 12.1 RU3 on the machine.

Yes, I installed the latest product 12.x RU3 for SBS. I hope that has resolved the issue.
