  • 1.  no data available for standard evaluation result

    Posted Jun 07, 2016 09:29 AM

i have tried to run " collection- evaluation-reporting" with custom standards(pre-defined and custom checks)

and i noticed that i got a result with 11.png screenshot attached.

i checked the RHEL 5 has the /etc/shadow directory with permission 0400 but the result is 11.png and 22.png

what is the meaning of "no data available"?

and may i ask you whether my check is configured correctly?

i want to create check for " directory permission 0755"

    thanks :)

    Hi Lee,

"No data available" means that CCS did not collect any data based on the specification you confgured in the check - most probably check is not congifured properly. You can view data collected by clicking "Data Collection Details" from the right-clicking the CER (collection-evaluation-reporting) job.

Here are great resources one how to write checks in CCS: https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH215931.html

    Hope this helps.

/etc/shadow is a file rather than a directory. Ensure that you are checking the file permissions of /etc/shadow unless you are wanting to check permissions of /etc doeectory. Aaron
