  • 1.  No Internet Access with Dell Mobile Broadband SEP MR7MP2

Hey Guys, I have a Dell Latitude E6510 with a Dell Broadband 5620 card. Since I upgraded to MR7 / Teefer 3. I cannot get on the internet with the Broadband Card until I shutdown network threat protection. I have tried removing SEP and reinstalling. I have removed all the drivers and utility for the broadband card also. I still cannot get on the internet until I shutdown SEP. Any ideas would be much appreciated. I am running Windows 7 64bit SP1.

can you open a support ticket, if the teefer driver is not removed then you may need to run teefer remover tool, which will be available from support.

then install sep, also check the firewall traffic log if traffic to port 80 is blocked. Can you access networ in your home/office?

Is there a way to open a ticket without having to call into support to get that tool?

There is nothing in the logs when SEP is enabled. Since this is a broadband card I am not connected to my home office network. The regular wifi connection works fine with SEP enabled.

I would recommend to enable logging on every single rule from your Firewall policy, then reproduce the problem and see if unexpected traffic is blocked.

    Reminder: Windows 7 SP1 requires RU7 or newer (http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH154768).
