Be aware that unmanaged detectors detects all IP devices on the network.  Printers, cameras, etc. all included.

Note: you will need an unmanaged detector on each subnet

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

I would be glad to answer your query.

There are two ways to find out if an unmanaged computer is discovered using the Unmanaged Detector feature.

    • Configure a notification
    1. Open and login to the SEPM
    2. Click Monitors
    3. Click Notifications
    4. Click Notification Conditions
    5. Click Add
    6. Select Unmanaged computers
    • Alternately, select the Home tab to view the Dashboard page of the SEPM. Click the "More Details" link on the "Security Status" alert,

then examine the "Unknown Device Failures".

Is there any way to find out status of SEP at remote location clients?

actually we have 8 locatios all over India, these are connected to central server thru Citrix only, SEP is not installed on Citrix Server as it is slowing it down, sometime hanged.

We distribute SEP installation to all locations, but would like to know whether remote users are properly installing and updating SEP.

    Hello,

Please generate a report from SEPM console and you can use portable push deployment from each of the location and save the bandwidth.
