Norton 360 failes to identify malware
Created: 15 Feb 2013 | Updated: 15 Feb 2013 | 3 comments
I have Norton 360 on my desk top. My system has been running slowly and the home page keeps being hijacked. My 360 is up to date but shows no infection. I ended up installing SUPERantispyware FREE ADDITION. It found the following, Trojan.Agent/Gen-fraudpack, adware.zugo, Trojan/Agent/Gen-Nullo, Pup.mysearch/funwebproducts, Browser Hijacker.internet Explorer settings hijack, adware.Tracking cookie.
Why doesnt Norton 360 identify these issues? Why am I paying all this money for a product that is not solving these problems? After all I ended up using a FREE product to fix my computer. Norton 360 is highly rated. WHY?

They obviously didn't have a signature to detect the malware. It happens. Malware changes all the time to evade detection and it is a rat race on how quickly it can be detected and a signature created.
I assume your defs were up to date?
